- 1. Mark the Top Header Location
- • Snap a chalk line at the top header location.
- 2. Locate Rafters and Pre-drill Pilot Holes
- • Find rafters, if possible, and pre-drill pilot holes (Use two header anchors for each panel, only on the top headers.)
- 3. Apply Roof Sealant
- • Prevent roof leaks by applying sealant on the pilot holes.
- 4. Align the Base of the Header Anchor
- • Use alignment indicators on the base to line up the lag screw hole with the pilot hole on the roof.
- 5. Drill in a 5/16th Lag Bolt
- • Use the appropriate length of lag bolt for your specific job.
- 6. Secure the Header and Anchor Top
- • Place the header into the base.
- • Position the anchor top onto the base.
- • Use the provided bolt to secure the anchor top to the base.
- • Repeat this process for each panel.
